Capturing truth from what we see, hear, feel and think is like catching the individual colours of a rainbow in your hand..
Holding on to that truth is as difficult...

If we were to consider the universe is a quantum computer...
Every particle, their spin, their charge could carry information... and could perhaps be programmed.
The spoken word is but a wave which vibrates the air... could such waves also vibrate and change fundamental particles?
Ummm... words programming the universe... structured chants; spells shape reality... a basis for magical thinking?
Now I know there's a gulf between the science and the idea, but hey, this was just a random thought which popped into my head to be scribbled in a note book at 3.00am on the 22nd July 2007 and found again today when tidying my office!

Tomorrow died somewhere in the lies of yesterday and the confusion of today.
Sound bytes and cliches remain...
9/11 ..... 7/7 ..... 24/7/365
Fractions of life split by the passage of time and the events contained within each moment.
How many know?
How many care?
How many sleep?

There's a second skin in the space where you and I begin...
A second skin
There's a second skin where loves words wear thin...
A second skin
There's a second skin - where do you end and I begin?

Words burn their message into my mind - a collection of dreams that are sold or seek to be sold - consumer statistics.
The Pioneers and Explorers now trademarked to grocers and bus companies..
A bronzed icon of a long dead soldier salutes victory; screaming silently from the past - his shadow falls heavily upon those who no longer remember or care or care to remember.
Murderous histories and corporate take-overs now celebrated in 'brands'...
Boston Tea Party --- Coffee House
Pizza Express --- Coinage Hall
Windows overdressed and filled with itmes no one needs but everyone wants.
What would a stranger make of this place, this time, this society?
Gold-braceleted builders show off their tanned bodies; teenage sirens display their charms - inviting yet rejecting in the same moment.
Immune, apart - different and distant... the world passes by - yet I know I know nothing.
The irony of youth - knowing that you know everything; that time owes you something more than you've earned. Rebellion locked into compliance; shaped by the desires of those who are no longer young.
There's no need fot a global conspiracy when we conspire to limit ourselves so effectively.
Alan - Truro, Cornwall August 2005 - waiting!
